The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria has jumped to 224, following 10 new cases, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.
The agency announced this on Sunday via Twitter.
“Ten new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 6 in Lagos, 2 in FCT and 2 in Edo,” it said.
“As of 11:15 am 5th April there are 224 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty-seven have been discharged with five deaths.”
There are now 115 confirmed cases in Lagos, nine in Edo and 45 in the FCT.
