The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 176 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, bringing the total number of infections to 5,621.
In a tweet on Saturday night, the agency said 1,472 have recovered from the disease and have been discharged while 176 others have died from it.
The breakdown of the new cases are as follows: 95 in Lagos, 31 in Oyo, 11 in FCT, eight in Niger, eight in Borno, six in Jigawa, four in Kaduna, three in Anambra.
Others are two each in Edo, Rivers, Nasarawa and Bauchi, with one each in Benue and Zamfara.
