Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has expressed sadness after Leicester City lost 1-0 to Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers in a pre-season at Molineux on Saturday.
Ndidi made a return to the Premier League outfit’s first team after missing their friendly game against MK Dons which ended 0-0 on Friday.
Nigerian teammate Ahmed Musa was not listed for the game against Wolves after sitting on the bench on Friday.
A stunning goal from Ivan Cavalerio was the only goal on a night the Wolves could have scored more.
“We are quite sad,” Ndidi told Leicester City TV.
“Though it’s just pre-season, we have to work towards our mistakes and it could only get better.”
The former Genk star went on to applaud Leicester City’s pre-season so far.
He added: “It’s been great. A couple of training sessions. And like I said before we will look at some mistakes and prepare for the coming season.”
Leicester City now have two pre-season games left, at Burton on Tuesday and at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday, to get ready for the opening Premier League game of the season at Arsenal in two weeks.
