Senate President-hopeful, Ali Ndume, has cast his votes at the inauguration of the ninth National Assembly on Tuesday.
Ndume is a strong contender for the position of Senate President.
He faces strong opposition from party favourite, Ahmad Lawan.
Senator-elect representing Gombe Central, Danjuma Goje, has also cast his vote.
Goje dropped out of the race last week after meeting with President Muhamadu Buhari at Aso Villa, Abuja.
The former governor of Gombe State also endorsed his rival, Lawan, for the position.
