Former Senate leader, Ali Ndume, has come out of his meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The duo met at the vice president’s office in Aso Rock, Abuja on Monday.
Ndume is aspiring to be the next Senate President. However, his party, All Progressives Congress (APC), has endorsed the current Senate leader, Ahmed Lawan, for the position.
Ndume declined to speak on camera with journalists at the end of the meeting which lasted for about an hour.
When asked by reporters if he would step down, he answered rhetorically: “Me?”
Ndume added: “This is not the time to talk now because I am still holding consultation.”
