Senator Ned Nwoko, husband to actress Regina Daniels, has addressed rumours circulating about his alleged involvement with actress Chika Ike.

This follows the deactivation of Regina Daniels’ Instagram account, which sparked speculation about marital issues.

On Monday, reports surfaced suggesting that Regina deactivated her account due to rumours claiming Nwoko was expecting a child with another actress.

Controversial gossip blog Gistlover fueled these rumours, stating, “Another senior actress don born for billionaire, little billionaire wife don run comot for Instagram,” although no names were mentioned.

The statement led to speculation that the “little billionaire wife” referred to was Regina Daniels. A check of her Instagram confirmed her account had been deactivated, further fueling the rumors.

The gossip linked the story to actress Chika Ike, who had announced her pregnancy in last week, with some online users suggesting that she had been in a relationship with Nwoko before he married Regina.

Speculation intensified as Regina had recently stopped celebrating her husband publicly on social media. She notably did not mark Valentine’s Day or acknowledge his move to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Meanwhile, Nwoko’s other wife Laila Charani has been more active in public appearances with the politician.

In response, Senator Nwoko issued an official statement through his Director of Communications shared on Instagram, strongly denying the claims. The statement read:

“Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation. Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue.

“As a public figure, and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.

“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”

Nwoko’s statement firmly dismissed the rumors, urging the public to disregard unverified gossip and focus on official sources for accurate information.
