Laila Charani, estranged Moroccan wife of Nigerian politician Ned Woko, has returned to Instagram after a four-month break.
The mother of three returned to the social media platform on Sunday to celebrate her 32nd birthday.
“Happy birthday to me,” she wrote along with two photos of her in a one-shoulder black dress.
Laila announced her separation from Nwoko on November 1, 2021 weeks after she unfollowed the 62-year-old and his Nollywood actress wife Regina Daniels on Instagram.
Confirming their separation in an Instagram post a month after, Nwoko accused Laila of infidelity, child abandonment and domestic abuse.
Laila Charani, however, claimed in a February 2022 Instagram post that her relationship with Nwoko changed after he married Regina.
According to the Moroccan, Nwoko shifted all attention to the actress and her son Munir and only showed love to her (Laila) and her children on social media.
The woman who claimed she married Ned as a virgin added that he refused to let her pursue her modeling career after they got married.
She described their 10 years of marriage as the worst of her life.
Things took a dramatic turn in September 2022 when she publicly apologised to Nwoko and his family.
“This is to the entire Ned Nwoko family. I have realised that I made mistakes. They were not intentional. I listened too much to outsiders and I have decided to apologise to my husband and members of the family. I want peace and progress in the family,” she wrote in an Instagram post on September 3, 2022.
She deleted all the content on her Instagram page the next day and did not make any other post until the one wishing herself a happy birthday on Sunday, January 29.
