Media personality Nedu Wazobia has tendered a public apology to anyone who may have been offended by his past statements on The Honest Bunch podcast.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Thursday, Nedu addressed speculations surrounding him, including allegations of demanding sex in exchange for movie roles. He expressed regret over any harm his words may have caused, asking for forgiveness.

“I am a child of God and I serve God. I’m an Igbo boy from Enugu State, and I don’t hurt anybody, and I can never hurt anyone. If something I have said has hurt you personally, forgive,” he said.

He also appreciated his supporters for standing by him despite the controversies.

“To all my followers and fans, you guys have been so worried. Thank you for your love. Thank you to those who have stuck with me. For those of you who know me and have said nothing, I understand, trust me. And for those who know me and added my alcohol, thank you too. I forgive everybody and I love everybody,” he added.

Nedu’s apology follows growing public scrutiny over his role in controversial discussions on his podcast. It also comes in the wake of claims by social media activist VeryDarkMan, who alleged that Nedu solicited sex from women in exchange for movie roles.

VeryDarkMan further threatened to expose names of celebrities whom Nedu allegedly slept with for skit roles, fueling more speculation.

The media personality has, however, denied the allegations.
