The long wait for the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations finally comes to an end on Saturday, when proceedings begin at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaounde, Cameroon.
Tournament host, Indomitable Lioness, will kick-start an action parked two weeks filled with exciting football action when they face Egypt.

When is it?
The tournament will take place from November 19 10 to December 3.
How many teams are there?
Eight teams will be at the the competition. Cameroon automatically qualified as host while the remaining seven spots were determined by the qualifying rounds.
How were they grouped?
Cameroon will face Egypt, South Africa and Zimbabwe in Group A while nine-time champions, Nigeria, are drawn in Group B alongside Ghana, Mali and Kenya.
What’s the tournament format?
The top two teams automatically qualifies for the semi final with the best two moving to the final.
Who are the debutants?
Kenya will be appearing at the showpiece for the first time while Egypt is staging a return after 18 years.
Who are the favourites?
Reigning champions, Nigeria, are clear favourites to defend their title. However, host, Cameroon, Ghana and South Africa are still expected to compete with the Super Falcons.
And the underdogs?
Debutants, Kenya, are the biggest underdogs. Others are Zimbabwe and Egypt.
Where are the match venues?
The 16 games will be played across two venues, they are Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaounde and Stade Municipal de Limbe, Limbe.
Will any record be broken?
The Super Falcons of Nigeria are aiming for their 10th title – the most by any country.
Nigeria will also be making a record 12th appearance at the competition – meaning they have featured in all editions since its creation in 1991.
