Big Brother Naija star Nengi Hampson has congratulated the first female first-class graduate from the Faculty of Law of Bayelsa State-owned Niger Delta University (NDU) Ebizi Eradiri on her appointment as the new face of Bayelsa girl child.
Eradiri was appointed into the role on Monday following backlash from Bayelsans that Nengi who was appointed into the role in November 2020 was not deserving of it.
But Nengi, in a tweet on Tuesday, thanked the governor for also finding the lawyer worthy of the honour.
She promised to work with Eradiri on forging better welfare for the girl child in Bayelsa.
“Congratulations to Barr. Ebizi Eradiri. It’s amazing how you were able to pull that thru!
“Special thanks to my Governor for also finding her worthy for the honour. It is without doubt that we will both work together to see how we can front for a better welfare for the Girl child,” she wrote.
Diri had on Monday also dismissed speculations about his administration’s choice of honouring Nengi while refusing to recognise Eradiri.
“Today has brought to an end speculations, especially in the new media, about our refusal to honour Barr. Eradiri while we have honoured Nengi of the Big Brother Naija fame. This is a blatant lie,” he said.
