Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has refuted reports that her six-year marriage to Philip Ehiagwina ended because of infidelity on her part.
And like celebrities often do these days, she has taken her case to the social media.
In a post on Twitter Thursday, the object of many of her male fan’s wet dream said “I asked for a divorce from my ex husband because of lots of irreconcilable differences. I never cheated on my husband.”
She also made reference to a “conscious and malicious attempt at tarnishing my image”.
America-based Ehiagwina who once reportedly threatened to come down and deal with a journalist who wrote a story suggesting his wife was bisexual, is believed to have fallen out of love with her over what insiders claim are allegations of misdemeanour on her part.
Ini Edo, however, swears that her ex husband is the one with a log in his eyes.
A popular blog recently quoted an unnamed close friend of the actress as saying “the marriage broke down due to very strong allegations of ‘serial cheating with evidence’ but that couple who are pretending to still be in talking terms cite irreconcilable differences.”
Inability to bear a child was another factor in their breakup.
The actress has since removed her husband’s name from her social media accounts and she also removed wife from her bio on Instagram.
Her bio which once read “actress and wife” no longer has “wife”.
The former Mr Ini Edo has reportedly asked that the bride price he paid in 2008 be returned to him.
Qed.ng learns from those at a recent movie location with her that Philip Ehiagwina was a no-go area in conversations with colleagues and friends.
