5ive, a 13-episode web series written by Michael Osuji, Tosyn Bucknor, and Jovi Babs, will premiere on video-sharing website, YouTube, on Thursday, November 3.
The series tells the story of a Nigerian, Kelvin Ebube, who moved to Liberia six years ago to start a new life but returns to Lagos to start again after things fell apart for him in the West African country.
Upon his return, Kelvin falls in love with two different women. Now, he must decide who he wants to be with knowing that each choice brings its own complications.
5ive created, produced and directed by OLA of Special Crimes Unit: Lasgidi Cops and Studio.
It was shot by 2016 AMVCA nominee Adeyemi “Church” Olowoshagba and stars Asa’ah Samuel, Baaj Adebule, Ini Dima-Okojie, Udoka Oyeka and KC Ejelonu.
Producers say it will take drama to a whole new level.
It is a collaboration between Selhurst Media Entertainment, Anchor Digital Media and Fountain Pictures collaborate to present the new series.
Episodes 1 and 2 will be shown on November 3 by 8pm, with subsequent showings every other week on YouTube.
