Gboyega Akosile, chief press secretary (CPS) to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday met with the acting director-general and chief executive officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Bisoye Coker-Odusote at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Mr Akosile posed for photos with her and shared them on Instagram, urging her to make Lagos proud in her new role.
“Just ran into my dear sister, Bisoye Coker-Odusote, the newly appointed Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport. Congratulations again my sister. Go and deliver to make us proud,” he wrote.
Akosile thanked President Bola Tinubu “for recognizing and trusting talented young Nigerians with positions of power.”
Until her appointment at NIMC, Coker-Odusote was general manager and CEO of the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA).
The previous NIMC boss Aliyu Aziz was directed to commence a 90-day pre-retirement leave.
The leave, which takes effect from August 24, 2023, would lead to his retirement from service on November 24, 2023; a statement on Tuesday by the president’s spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said.
