Newcastle are reportedly planning a January move for Genk defender, Wilfred Ndidi, with the Nigeria international valued at around £8million.
The Chronicle quote sources in Belgium claiming the Magpies have scouted the 19- year-old a numerous occasions this season.
Hamburg reportedly had a £5million approach for Ndidi rejected in the summer but Genk are said to be willing to do business in January.
Tottenham and Watford were also said to be looking at the versatile centre-back, who can also operate at full-back and in midfield.
Ndidi has six caps for the Super Eagles, but the teenager will soon be eligible for a Belgian passport.
