Super Eagles attacking sensation, Moses Simon, was in superlative form as his Belgian club, KAA Gent thrashed German side, Wuerzburger Kickers 5-0 in an International Club Friendly played on Friday.
Moses, 20, who got married at the end of 2015, abandoned his honeymoon for club engagements and was rewarded with a brace in his first game of the new year.
The former AS Trencin winger, an indispensable member of the Eagles, got his first exactly at the hour mark bringing the score to 3-0 in favour of the visitors.
Kailifa Coulibaly and Laurent Depoitre had earlier given the Belgians the deserved lead in the 36th and 46th minutes respectively.
Moses however completed the rout on the Bundesliga 3 side putting the game to bed with his second of the night and his side’s fifth of the game thirteen minutes before full time.
That was preceded by Danijel Milecivic’s wonderful strike four minutes earlier.
The Belgian Jupiter Pro League resumes on Friday, January 15, after a two-week winter break.
Moses scored twice in his last three games before the break and will be hoping for a good outing when his side face local rivals, Anderlecht on January 17.
