Paris St-Germain forward, Neymar, punched a fan who taunted him after his side lost the Coupe de France final to Rennes on Saturday.
As PSG went up the stairs at the Stade de France to recieve their runner-up medals, Neymar stopped to bat a phone away from a fan.
The pair then exchanged words before the soccer star aimed a punch at the fan.
The Brazilian had to be restrained by teammates to prevent the incident from escalating.
After a lengthy injury lay-off, Neymar made a comeback in the cup final and scored after 21 minutes to put his side 2-0 up, after Dani Alves had opened the scoring.
Rennes found a way back into the match, scoring twice to take the match to penalties where they prevailed.
It is not the first time that Neymar’s off-field activities have landed him in trouble.
He was recently handed a three-match ban by UEFA for insulting match officials on Instagram after defeat to Manchester United in Champions League last-16.
