The NFF celebrated Oshoala in a tweet, saying: “Happy birthday to 3X Africa Women’s Player of the Year, @NGSuper_Falcons captain, @AsisatOshoala 🎂🎂🎂🎂”
Oshoala, three-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year, was born on October 9, 1994.
Oshoala’s impact since breaking into the national fold has been phenomenal.
In 2014, she led the Falconets to a second place finish at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The same year, her goal-scoring heroics came to the fore as the Falcons clinched the African Women’s Championship.

Two years later, she produced even more impressive displays as the Nigerian ladies retained the title.
Oshoala led the Super Falcons at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France in June to become the second Nigerian women’s team to reach the knockout stages of the Women’s World Cup after the 1999 squad that reached the quarter-finals.
