Ahead of a potential FIFA ban, several Nigerians have voiced out their stands on the crisis rocking its football.
The apex governing body threatened to ban the west African nation on Monday if nothing is done about the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) leadership tussle.
FIFA only recognizes Amaju Pinnick’s faction and warned Chris Giwa group to hands off.
The football body frowns at the government’s interference with football although reports claim the Federal Government has written to also recognize Pinnick.
Yet the hammer could fall on the country.
Here’s what Nigerians had to say on Twitter.
To all football followers in Nigeria, be calm. The FIFA ban won’t happen… we’ve been through all these before.

No ban for Nigeria. Federal government have communicated to FIFA that Amaju Pinnick and his NFF board has the country’s full backing.

As the storm is finally over. If i hear say redberet minister Dalung saying bla bla bla or Giwa tries to put himself as NFF boss…we will just call fifa on our own.
Then can we make #SackSolomonDalung go viral?
Also wen will our league resume?— Mazi Chukwudi (@Chunkyozil) August 20, 2018
Football Twitter, what is the update? Has the @FIFA hammer dropped on @thenff yet?

The FG has already conveyed to FIFA its firm position recognizing Amaju Pinnick-led NFF as the current & only NFF Exco. Govt will also continue to work with all relevant stakeholders involved to resolve dispute in a timely manner. FG is upholding NFF treaty obligations to FIFA
