The headquarters of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Wuse Zone 7 District, Abuja is on fire.
The cause of the fire which was still on at the time of this report is yet to be known, but it has spread to the offices of the President, Secretary General and the accounts department.
The NFF shares same building with the Abuja Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
Sources at the scene said that rescue operations were ongoing as fire fighters are already trying to put out the fire.
NFF spokesman, Ademola Olajire, confirmed the fire incident but said he had just arrived the scene.
He said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately but that it started from the third floor of the building.
There has been lingering crisis within the top officials of the NFF in the last few months leading to the impeachment of its President, Aminu Maigari before he resigned and was asked to be reinstated by the world football governing body, FIFA last Thursday.
He only resumed back to office on Tuesday, August 19 and chaired the Executive Committee meeting of the NFF at the secretariat.
