It’s exactly seven years since tragedy struck Nigerian football when forward, Endurance Idahor, slumped and died on the pitch.
Idahor, who at that time played for Sudanese club, Al-Merreikh, was one of the country’s brightest and hottest prospects.
It is for this reason that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) took out time on Monday to celebrate the life of the Edo-born star.

Prior to his death, Idahor had scored 46 goals in 62 games for Al-Merreikh and also appeared for the country’s national U23 team.
He died aged 25 and the memories of his shocking demise is still fresh in the hearts of many soccer enthusiasts.
