Rapper Nicki Minaj has extended her congratulations to Afrobeat superstar Davido and his wife Chioma on their recent nuptials.
The congratulatory message came during a performance on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, also known as the Gag City Tour.
Before launching into her collaborative hit ‘Holy Ground’ with Davido, Nicki paused to acknowledge the couple’s union, saying, “Hold on, hold on. Did Davido get married? Congratulations to Davido and Chioma.”
Davido and Chioma tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Lagos on Tuesday, June 25. The event, a star-studded affair, attracted numerous influential figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Cubana Chief Priest, Obi Cubana, Paul Okoye and his brother Rudeboy, and football star Victor Osimhen, among others.
The #Chivido2024 wedding extravaganza dominated social media, with fans and media sharing photos and videos of the celebration.
The Adeleke family expressed heartfelt appreciation to friends, family, and associates for their support. In a statement released on Wednesday night, June 26, the family thanked everyone for their enthusiastic presence and messages of love, noting they were overwhelmed by the show of brotherhood during their time of joy and happiness.
