Managing Editor of Niger Delta Today, an online news platform, Theophilus Onojeghen, has tested positive for coronavirus in Warri, Delta State.
Onojeghen was confirmed positive on Friday.
He had his samples taken for test at the treatment centre located in Central Hospital, Warri a few days ago.
Mr Onojeghen is said to have, about three weeks ago, had contact with two patients who are receiving treatment.
The news platform said in a statement that all who may have had contact with Onojeghen recently should “duly self-isolate” for the next 14 days.
“Our M.E. in spite of this reality is in positive spirit, now isolated, undergoing necessary recovery process. No cause for unnecessary alarm,” the statement added.
