The three-time African champions are rooted in the 53rd spot in the world and ranked ninth on the continent.
Algeria, at 19, is Africa’s top team followed by the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire and the Black Stars of Ghana who are the 21st and 26th best teams in the world respectively.
Tunisia, Senegal, Congo, Cameroon, Egypt and Cape Verde make up the top 10 teams on the continent.
Globally, the top teams remain unchanged with only England and Chile swapping 8th and 10th places respectively.
Lionel Messi’s Argentina remains the top football nation in the world, closely followed by Belgium and world champions, Germany.
Other teams in the top ten include Colombia, Brazil, Portugal, Romania and Wales.
Fiji moved 17 places to 181 in the world to become the best movers, while Seychelles were the worst movers as they fell seven places to 185.
