Ghanaian actress, model and singer, Juliet Ibrahim, has defended Nigerian musician, Mr Eazi, who is currently facing a firestorm of criticism for tweeting that Ghana’s influence on Nigerian music cannot be overemphasised.
While many Nigerians have brutally attacked Eazi, who is incidentally based in Ghana, the mother-of-one supported him in messages posted on Twitter early Thursday morning.
She argued that some Nigerians songs are inspired by Ghana’s Azonto, alkaida and highlife.
According to the 4play actress, listeners of Runtown’s Mad Over You will think it’s a Ghanaian singing.
Some naija soundz is azonto inspired, alkaida inspired,hi-life inspired, even if u hear “mad over u” u go tink 8s a Ghanaian singing @mreazi

Well known in Nollywood as much as she is in Ghana’s Ghallywood, Juliet released a song titled ‘It’s Over Now’ featuring Nigeria’s General Pype in 2014.
Expectedly, her intervention in the Mr Eazi saga has escalated the controversy.
