Actress Etinosa Idemudia has said it is possible that Nigeria would have retained its world record position if Chef Dammy had been encouraged.
Etinosa said this on Tuesday while reacting to Hilda Baci’s dethronement as the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual which has now been broken by her Irish counterpart Alan Fisher.
Hilda set her record of 93 hours and 11 minutes in May, preparing over 100 pots of food during her four-day kitchen stint. She broke the record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set in 2019 by Indian chef Lata Tondon.
The GWR said on Tuesday that Fisher, a restaurant owner based in Japan, now holds the record for the longest cooking marathon.

Speaking in an Instagram post, Etinola opined that if Nigerians had encouraged Chef Dammy, she would have succeeded in beating Hilda’s record.
She wrote: “You guys were bullying the innocent Dami 4 attempting to break the record as if it was Hilda’s birthright. You see, if we had encouraged Dami who knows, we would still have retained it as a nation. Oya go and Bully this guy Na. Abi Na only poor people Pikin una dey bully.”
