The programme, which is meant to empower youths for industrial development initiative, is also meant to celebrate the outstanding ones.
During the programme, 20 bakers will compete for the top crown while pastry hardware product manufacturers exhibit their products, according to the festival coordinator, Michael Salako.
“We are here to celebrate the biggest celebration of flower craft in Nigeria, the Nigerian Cake Festival & Flower Craft Exhibition. It’s a platform for creative flour crafters and manufacturers to come and exhibit their works and talent because we want to encourage the industry, we want to encourage entrepreneurship among youths who are into this business.
“We want them to know that they have not been abandoned in favour of those who can sing, play football or those who can act. Anyone who is creative is welcome and they will be celebrated. Winners will go home with fantastic prizes,” Salako said at a recent press conference in Lagos.
The cake festival and exhibition, which is being promoted as the biggest celebration of flour craft in Nigeria proudly supported by Flour Mills and GTBank MarketHub, will have celebrity judges pick the winner.
