A popular Nigerian drug kingpin was arrested in New Delhi, India on Saturday.
Victor Assoundu is believed to be the local drug cartel in India’s capital city.
Assoundu was nabbed in the company of Afghan nationals, simply identified as Asmantulla and Khalilulla.
The Nigerian was arrested in possession of 2kg of drugs while with his cohorts, the Indian Police found 1kg and 2kg respectively.
Around 4,200 US dollars was also recovered from Asmantulla.
The trio are regular visitors to India since the last three to four years.
According to Indian police, they have collectively sold over 100kg of heroin so far and reportedly brought 15 kg of narcotics to the country this time.
The trio will be charged to court and could potentially spend 10 to 20 years in prison.
