The 46-year-old said this while giving a status report about the football body in a series of tweets on Friday.
He talked about the Super Eagles moving 12 positions higher in FIFA’s ranking as well as preparations being made by the female team for the 2020 Olympics to hold in Tokyo.
“Then I’d like to thank you, Nigerians, for your support as well. Our football is not where we want it to be, but be very assured; we are getting there,” he also wrote.
The Super Eagles recorded a successful outing at the Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt from Julne to July finishing third.
