Nigerians have begun venting their anger on the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) following widespread robberies in Ogun and Lagos States.
Hoodlums wielding cutlass and locally made guns have been attacking residents in several parts of the aforementioned states since Friday as the lockdown caused by COVID-19 bites harder.
Residents have had to defend themselves and keep watch to prevent attacks.
Nigerians on Twitter say this would be a good time for SARS, which has been enmeshed in controversies in the past, to redeem its image.
