Nigerians condemn Amosun over violence at Ogun APC rally

Nigerians have attacked the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, after hoodlums launched stones at the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, during the party’s presidential rally in the state on Monday.

President Muhammadu Buhari was hit by the stones; however, he was quickly guarded from hurt by his security personnel.

Amosun fell out with the APC leadership when his anointed candidate, Adekunle Akinlade, lost the governorship ticket to Dapo Abiodun.

The governor also campaigned for both the APC and the APM during the rally.

Nigerians on Twitter have launched their attack at the governor whom they say should be sanctioned.

Dapo Abiodun is too refined; what is required to tame Amosun is a candidate in the mould of Yayi or Aregbesola. Someone that will match him word for word and madness for madness.

I never knew Aregbesola is an Imam.

Just listen to Amosun, he said they are not up to 50% referring to the Dapo Abiodun group.

He said they should respect the President but he's disrespecting the party on which he's running for the Senate

To me though, this is bigger than an orchestrated rejection of Dapo Abiodun, but an attack on PMB! Nobody threw things at Oshiomole and PMB when they raised Hope's hand in Owerri. Okorocha wasn't happy then, but his supporters didn't attack anybody. Amosun playing a script!
