After almost a decade-long fractured relationship, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and erstwhile number two Atiku Abubakar finally made peace.
This followed the latter’s emergence as Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2019 elections.
Atiku paid a visit to the retired Army general on Thursday in Abeokuta, in the company of some highly-revered religious leaders.
In the end, however, both were able to mend ties and Nigerians were pretty excited on social media.
Here’s how some reacted.

Obasanjo endorsed Atiku without diminishing his status. He reffered to Atiku as a Saul who has now become a Paul on his way to Damascus.
Damascus here being Aso Rock.

Is Obasanjo in a position to forgive any former political holder who had raped our country and cornered our common wealth?
I thought he only has only one vote to cast. Besides, where lies his support when his own ADP is also to present a presidential candidate? Atiku bawo?
