Nigerians have hailed Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde after he approved the sum of N500,000 as a bursary for every indigene of the state at the Nigerian Law School.
Makinde had announced his decision on Tuesday when representatives of Oyo State indigenes at the Nigerian Law School paid him a visit.
The governor said his administration would give priority to education.
Makinde also urged the students to return home after their studies and contribute their quota towards the development of the state.
On inauguration as governor, Makinde scrapped levies charged in public schools across the state.
Before that time, students in public primary and secondary schools were charged N3,000 each as education levy.
Nigerians have praised the governor as the role model for other governors in the country.
