Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has joked about Nigerians loving public holidays.
Mrs Ezekwesili said this on Tuesday via a tweet as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr to mark the end of Ramadan.
The Federal Government had since last week declared Tuesday and Wednesday public holidays ahead of the festivities.
Workers had also enjoyed a public holiday on May 29, Democracy Day.
“Nigerians sure love Public Holidays,” Ezekwesili said, “You get that sense when they almost feel sorry for you for missing such a day.”
Workers are expected back at work on Thursday.
