Nigerians have taken to social media to pray for singer Sound Sultan following reports that he has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
Online news medium Sahara Reporters said in a report on Wednesday that the 44-year-old is undergoing chemotherapy in a hospital in the United States of America.
The singer’s older brother Baba Dee, however, told Qed.ng that Sound Sultan does not have cancer.
According to the older brother, the singer is recovering from an illness in New York but he does not have throat cancer.
“He is sick and he is getting better in New York. But throat cancer. Na lie,” the man born Dare Fasasi wrote in a message sent to this online newspaper.
