Nigerians haven’t stopped applauding Sunday Oliseh’s incredible accomplishments so far at Dutch second-tier side, Fortuna Sittard.
Around this time last year, the ex-Super Eagles skipper and coach inherited a Fortuna team on the cusp of relegation.
But remarkably, the 43-year-old steered the side to safety, winning almost half of its remaining fixtures.
The Nigerian has been by far more impressive this term, such that he was awarded the best manager for the first stanza of the season.
Monday’s 3-2 victory away at PSV II was his 10th of the season and twice that figure since taking charge of the modest club.
The win takes them to second on the log with 32 points, four behind table-toppers, NEC.
Overall, Fortuna has lost just four times in 16 games this term.
For that reason, Nigerians were all over social media to hail the ex-Ajax star’s exploits.
Y’all be there be sniffing. Sunday Oliseh will manage a top top side one day. Then return to the Super Eagles. In this life. On his terms!! https://t.co/Aque9ZDzpR

Cheeky. Do have a good evening. However, on the matter in discussion, I believe that @SundayOOliseh thriving in his league is based on his discipline and his love for young stars or unknown players. The drive to become known. It’s left to be seen how he thrives with made stars.
