Nigeria lived up to its reputation as Africa entertainment powerhouse on Saturday with a dominant display at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA) held at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Wizkid was the star of the night as he walked away with three coveted awards – Best Male, Best Collaboration for his featured track with South Africa’s DJ Maphorisa and DJ Buckz, and Artist of the Year.
Yemi Alade, one of the award hosts, was named Best Female.
Patoranking picked up the Song of Year while Tekno picked up the Best Breakthrough Act award.
