Buddhism is the world’s fourth largest religion and is mainly practised in much of Asia. Worshippers pray with the image of the god, Buddha.
Many have claimed that sharing a picture of a Buddha smiling can bring one good luck.
As a result of harsh realities in the country, Nigerians have begun sharing pictures of a smiling Buddha, with wishes of what they want it to do for them.
Others have argued against its mystical powers, saying that it is sheer ignorance to believe in such claims.
