Nigerians have jokingly tipped Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as the club’s Twitter handler following a tweet on Sunday night about teammate Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho recorded his first hat-trick in the Premier League after striking thrice in Leicester City’s 5-0 obliteration of Sheffield United on Sunday.
Following the game, the club tweeted: “Seniorman Kelechi”, a term used by Nigerians.
Nigerians on social media have named Ndidi, Iheanacho’s Nigerian compatriot, responsible for the tweet. However, the tweet followed an interview Iheanacho granted to Ndidi after his heroics.
