Nigerians have warned politicians of impending danger after former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu was attacked on Saturday by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Germany.
Senator Ekweremadu was billed to give a keynote address at the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany.

The lawmaker was accused by IPOB members of conspiring with the Federal Government to proscribe the group in the South East and the killing of its followers.
Ekweremadu has said that he does not hold a grudge against the group for the attack which has been condemned by several Nigerians.
Others have, however, warned politicians to be mindful of attack, saying people are tired of the huge margin between wealthy public servants whom they describe as corrupt, and the poor masses.
