Executive Director, National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Adedayo Thomas, has said that Nigerian film contents are among the best in the world in terms of value.
Mr Thomas said this during a two-day training of North East NFVCB staff held on Tuesday in Bauchi titled ‘Film and Video Works in the New Horizon.’
He added that foreign investors travelled into the country to seek contents for their movies, noting that most foreign movies had Nigerians as part of their team.
“The film industry creates the largest jobs in Nigeria from the various positions in film setting to cameramen, sound lighting, among others,’’ he also added.
He implored participants of the workshop to use the knowledge gained during the training to enhance productivity in the organisation.
Thomas cautioned against sale of unlicensed and unclassified films in the market, saying that anyone found wanting would be sanctioned accordingly.
