Veteran Nigerian actor and director, Jide Kosoko, is 62-year-old today, January 12, 2016. To celebrate him, we outline nine of his achievements.

- He has a degree in Business Administration from the Yaba College of Technology.
- Jide Kosoko has featured in over 100 Nollywood productions – both English and Yoruba genres.
- He is the father to two successful actresses, Sola and Bidemi Kosoko
- The Last Flight to Abuja star has two wives – Karimat and fellow actor, Henrietta Kosoko.
- He has a successful art institution called the Jide Kosoko Theatre Group (JKT) an outfit that trained actors like Motunrayo Balogun, Jamiu Azeez and Anu Sosanya.
- A movie producer in his own right, he has handled the productions of over four blockbusters including Olorire and Arewa Okunrin.
- The actor once signed on as the brand ambassador to fruit drink company, Chivita
- In 2012, he was chosen by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to produce a docu-drama on climate change titled Battle for life.
