Nnamdi Kanu demands apology from Umahi for ‘betraying’ IPOB

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has demanded an apology from Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, for ‘betraying’ IPOB.

Mr Kanu, in a tweet on Monday night, mocked the governor over his comments about suspected herdsmen sexually assaulting and harassing women in the state.

At a peace talk between herders and farmers in Abakaliki, the state capital, Umahi had said that he was displeased that the herders were defiling the state by allegedly forcing women into sex.

In his late-night post, Kanu said he hoped the governor would be ‘man enough to apologise’ for betraying his secessionist group.

“Dear Gov. Umahi, now you’ve confirmed your Fulani terrorist friends are raping our mothers in Ebonyi, will you be man enough to apologise for your betrayal of IPOB?

“Maybe you will finally learn that betraying your people has unintended consequences,” he said.
