Amaka Ekwo, Chief Press Secretary of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said that her principal is not a local champion in Imo State.
Ekwo tweeted this on Friday in response to the recent call by the Movement for the Survival of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) for Mr Kanu to return to Nigeria and fight for Biafra.
MASSOB also cautioned Kanu to desist from insulting its leader, Ralph Uwazuruike, over issues concerning the struggle for Biafra.
But Ekwo wrote: “Nnamdi Kanu is not just in Biafraland, he is in the global stage, and not a local champion in the Imo State of Nigeria.
“The #Biafra @MaziNnamdiKanu is fighting for is recognised all over the world.”
Kanu, who was rumoured dead recently, has not been seen in Nigeria since soldiers invaded his house in September 2017.
