Actress Rita Edochie, sister-in-law of legendary actor Pete Edochie, has thrown her weight behind May Edochie, first wife of actor Yul Edochie.
Last year, Yul announced he married a second wife, his colleague Judy, and that they have a son together. The revelation unsettled peace in his marriage. He also got bashed by several of his fans who felt it was unjust to May whom he had been married to for more than a decade.
In March, Yul’s first son with May, Kambilinachukwu, died after reportedly suffering a seizure while playing with his mates at school.
Many on social media blamed the actor for bringing trouble into his life by taking a second wife although Judy does not live in the same apartment with May.
Recently, Yul released a video on Facebook of Judy. In the video, Judy said God fights her battles and that she has been through challenges and pulled through.
“They say it’s he that wears the shoe that knows exactly where it pinches. It is only me that knows, just me. God loves me so much, he has continued to fight all my battles.
“I want the whole universe to worship God with me cause he has been awesome.
“You don’t need people’s validation once you have God’s validation in your life, you are good,” Judy said.
It was not immediately clear if she was addressing her critics.
Amid all these, May has not returned to social media nor spoken publicly since her child died.
On Tuesday, Rita shared a video of May and her family on Instagram and assured that she has no reason to worry, adding that the challenge in her marriage was only for a while.
“It’s your home nwam. No worries no competition. It’s a question of time,” she wrote.
