Pop singer, Davido, has said that no one knew Zlatan Ibile when he invited him to Dubai for a show in 2018.
Zlatan, winner of best new act, song of the year, and best collaboration with Burna Boy on hit song, ‘Killin Dem’ at AFRIMA 2019 held in Dallas, Texas, US, has become a household name since then.

In a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, Davido gave Zlatan his necklace, calling him the ‘hottest’ artiste in Africa.
“Gave my brother 40k off my neck!!!!!!!! I remember bringing him to Dubai last year and no one knew him!! Now he da hottest ARTIST IN AFRICA!!!!! Love u bro !! @zlatan_ibile,” he wrote.
In October, Zlatan met Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, in Atlanta, United States at Davido’s uncle’s 40th birthday party where he performed.

Davido also bought the artiste a gift at the time.
Zlatan, Davido, Naira Marley and Shizi are collaborating on a yet-to-be-revealed song.
