Nigerians have reacted to the birthday message of music legend 2face Idibia, whose marriage has been going through a rough patch after his wife accused him of spending time with his baby mama.
In a now-deleted Instagram post 2face’s wife, Annie Idibia accused him of spending nights with Pero Adeniyi, who is the mother of three of seven children.
The accusation led to 2face’s brother Charles Idibia calling Annie and her mother a ‘witch’.
With things spiraling out of control, 2face was forced to release a statement on Instagram that reads “I admit that bringing our personal issues on social media was not cool but I will not sit back and watch everyone have a free for all battle here in the name of love or solidarity.
“None of us is perfect. I will like to urge our families and supporters to stop the madness and the public to please respect our privacy and our kids. Let us deal with our issues internally. I take God be una.”
In an Instagram post on Saturday, 2face shared a photo of himself and Annie with a message to his fans as he celebrated his birthday.
“I know I’m not without mistakes neither I’m I perfect but we keep learning and working and striving to become the best version of ourselves. It is well,” he wrote in parts.
