Nigerian actor, Deyemi Okanlawon, has been nominated in two categories for the 2016 Ghana Movie Awards (GMA).
He is nominated for best supporting actor in a drama series, for his role in An African City (Season 2).
Other nominees are Blossom Chukwujekwu for Shampaign; John Peassah, Yolo; Desmond Danso, Yolo, and Fritz Johnson, Heels and Sneakers.
Deyemi is also nominated for best actor in an African collaboration for No Man’s Land, making it his second nomination for the category in two consecutive years.
He won the award for If Tomorrow Never Comes at the 2015 GMA.
Other nominees this year are Ayo Makun for A Trip to Jamaica, Gideon Okeke, Anniversary, and Emmanuel Ikubese, True Lies.
Deyemi is known for his versatile acting skills from Ndani’s Gidi Up to Falz the Bahd Guy’s Soldier video and more recently for playing Casanova extraordinaire, Richie, in the blockbuster movie, Dinner, alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo, Ireti Doyle and Kehinde Bankole.
