UK-based Nigerian actress Nnenna Ani has died.
The death occurred on Friday, February 11.
Entertainment and media executive Abass Tijani, popularly known as DJ Abass, made this known on Facebook on Saturday.
“Still in shock!!! The UK Nollywood industry lost a very prominent and active member yesterday and we lost a friend and beautiful sister. Rest in peace Nnenna Ani You will be missed,” he wrote.
Until her death, Nnenna served as the President of the Nollywood Entertainment Leadership Awards (NELA).
She started her career from stage performance at the age of twelve and is widely known for her role as Nino Brown in the movie Oga Detective.
Her other movies include Soldiers of War, The Marriage of Reason, Squalor, My London Diary, Blood Type and others.
