Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose’s move to make political capital from the proposed protest planned for February 6 has been rebuffed by organisers of the march.
The civil action planned to hold at the National Stadium in Lagos and Unity Fountain in Abuja is fronted by Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria and the 2Face Foundation.
Always looking for an opportunity to make the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government look bad; Fayose had in a series of tweet pledged his support for those behind the protest especially pop star, 2face Idibia.
He even promised to be at the venue of the protest in spite of the musician’s denial that politicians were behind his activism.
But the organisers were quick to remind Fayose that he is one of the reasons they are protesting.
In a series of replies to the governor’s tweets, EiE pointed out that mismanagement of the country’s affairs happens across the tiers of government.
