Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode on Thursday recounted an alleged accident involving the former acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Joy Nunieh which he said occurred years ago.
Mr Fani-Kayode recounted the story on Twitter in reaction to the police invasion of Nunieh’s Port Harcourt residence.
“A few years ago a car filled with people plunged into a deep river after a terrible accident. Everyone in that vehicle perished except one. After 2 hours of struggling for her life in that river the person finally floated to the bank barely alive,” he claimed.
“That person was Joy Nunieh. The lady that someone now wants to kill. There are some people you just don’t mess with because the hand of God is upon them. Joy is one of them. God is with her and fighting her will lead to your destruction. The Bible says ‘touch not my annointed and do my Prophets no harm.’”
Nunieh was supposed to be in Abuja on Thursday to appear before the House of Representatives’ Committee investigating NDDC’s finances.
She has been in a running battle with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godswill Akpabio over allegations of corruption, sexual harassment among others.
